In 1912, Hyde Park left Norfolk County and joined Suffolk County as a part of the City of Boston. This document from the Secretary of the Commonwealth certified that a majority of Hyde Park and Boston voters had approved the annexation.

When the Town of Hyde Park became a part of the City of Boston, all of the town's documents and papers were transferred to the City of Boston. James Grant, Chairman of the Hyde Park Board of Selectman, and John Fitzgerald, Mayor of Boston, signed this records transfer.
