Celebrating Hyde Park: Documents and Images from the City of Boston Archives

The Town of Hyde Park was incorporated on April 22, 1868. This warrant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts provides for the town's first meeting on April 30, 1868.

Alpheus P. Blake is considered the founder of Hyde Park. His 1869 tax record shows the various Hyde Park properties he owned, including his original home on Fairmount Avenue.
