Student register

This register provides a remarkable amount of information about the students enrolled at the school from 1869 to 1936. For each student, not only was their name, age, and place of residence recorded, but also their parents' names, place of birth, and the father's occupation. Questions on the extent, duration and supposed cause of each student's deafness, along with any previous education they may have had, demonstrate the range of experiences of deafness amongst the students.
